<p><span>This is an 18-month course for Registered General Nurses that leads to a Higher Diploma in Midwifery and registration as a midwife (RM) with </span><span>the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.</span><span>&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>The course is full time and is offered in partnership with Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH). Midwifery - Ireland Pro Plus

This is an 18-month programme for Registered General Nurses that leads to a Higher Diploma in Midwifery and registration as a midwife (RM) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) The programme is full time and is offered in partnership with Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH). Successful applicants will have EU Fees paid by the HSE subject to certain conditions. The Higher Diploma in Midwifery Education Programme - Ireland

The Rotunda Hospital in partnership with the University of Dublin, Trinity College, offers an 18-month Midwife Registration Education Programme. The next intake is due to commence in March 2012. This programme is offered to Nurses who are registered on the General Division of the Register of Nurses (or those eligible for registration) held by An Bord Altranais and who are accepted by Trinity College Dublin, the hospital’s academic partner. Applicants must be six months post-registered RGN. This course will be advertised in the Irish Independent (Thurs), the Sunday Independent and on our website in August 2011. Midwifery Studies - Ireland

This course is suitable for students who have completed Leaving Certificate and are considering a career in Midwifery. On completion of the course students will receive a Nursing Award but the course content will have a distinct Midwifery focus. A minimum of ten days work placement must be completed in a relevant vocational area. On one day per week students will visit and obtain work experience in Maternity Units, General Hospitals, Psychiatric Hospitals, Homes for the elderly, Disability Schools/Homes, Rehabilitation Centres and Respite Care Centres.
