The course is structured in a way that enables the student to progress step-by-step, starting with the basics and proceeding to diploma level at the end of the class; participants are provided with lesson notes, textbooks, work sheets, samples and work books; they will also be given weekly assignments as part of their course work.  There is no final exam. The course is a combination of lecture, hands-on practical work, and optional field trips.  This is a 23 session course consisting of one night per week for 15 weeks in-class lecture/workshop (includes 2 optional Saturday lectures at Dublin museums), 6 special design projects to build a portfolio and 2 other optional field trips to interior design-oriented venues.
